Furry Scurry!

Dear Diary,

I'm so excited! I just snuck a peak at my mom's email and it looks like we signed up for the 2011 Furry Scurry! It's my favorite social event of the season!
If you don't know what the Scurry is, my mom says its for a good cause, benefiting a local shelter the humans call the Dumb Friends League. I think they call it dumb because they shelter cats there too, and our cat Helen came from there. Although I'm not supposed to call people or cats dumb, so I don't know why they are allowed to call it that. Anyway, I LOVE the Furry Scurry because there are lots of pet vendors there and I get LOTS of treats and head scratches. There is also tons of paparazzi there, they're always taking my picture. I just know I will achieve my goal of world-wide fame by participating, paws crossed it will be this year!

The only thing I don't like about the Furry Scurry is the human sized, fuzzy animals. I bark at them when they try to pet me. All the humans seem to think this is really funny, but those furry giants aren't going to get away with touching me!

This year I'll get to show Chili the Furry Scurry ropes. If there's one good thing I've noticed about having Chili around, it's that even more humans come over and see us. I hope Chili is as excited as I am! For now I need to take a nap, so I can be ready to go full throttle furry scurry style in May. I don't know when that is, but I hope it's soon!
Love,
Coco

I'm BACK!

Dear Diary,

Sorry it's been so long since I've written. I've since decided to give up on transferring my previous journal entries. I'm going to start fresh today! So much has happened since I last wrote to you. I adopted a brother, Chili! He's older than me, but I still have to show him the ropes. I wasn't sure that I wanted to adopt him at first, I liked having ALL the attention and treats and love to myself. But now that he's been here awhile, I see that there is enough attention, treats and love to go around. In fact, there may even be MORE treats, because Chili sometimes forgets that pugs use the facilities outside, so my mom, oops, I mean OUR mom, gives us treats when he goes outside. Hmm, now that I think about it, I LOVE Chili! Thanks Diary, for showing me the light!

At the left is a picture of Chili, so you can see what he looks like. I don't think he's as cute as me, but all the humans sure seems to think he is...

Love,

Coco
